Love is the First Principle.

The answer to question - why would God not experience itself as Singular without splitting itself into 7 billion pieces? - is Love. Nothing is ever split by 'The Way' for God is always Singular as in One. There is no division, there are no pieces, there is only God experiencing Itself as Itself. It is this what reality is. It is this what existence is. It is this what Life is. Life is God perceiving itself as variegated not to be alone. Life is God perceiving itself as variegated to experience Companionship. Life is God perceiving itself as variegated to experience Love. It is not good to be alone. Very important realization. One desires not to be alOne, i.e., God desires not to be lOnely. God perceives itself as diversified this NOT for the purpose to fight itself, no, this for the purpose of Companionship. There are indeed no others. There where are others is God perceiving otherness to experience Togetherness. All this for Love, not to be alone! See yourself not as the individual but as God perceiving itself as individuals for the very purpose of Companionship aka Love. Love is the first principle for the principal is God desiring Love.
