Why did Plato believe that our senses aren't to be trusted? The answer is simple really. All that is here is Oneself. Oneself sees itself but perceives itself as otherness. Otherness is imagined out of the need for companionship. Companionship equates to Love; it is true. Perhaps this then why it is said that the greatest commandment is Love for there is nothing but Oneself masking itself out of alOneness. Looks can be deceiving indeed. I say "All the more reason to Love one another".
