Zeus is a synonym for Self.

According to Greek mythology humans originally had four arms, four legs and a head with two faces. Fearing the power of humans, Zeus split them into two separate parts, condemning them to spend their lives in search of their other halves. Definitely a nice story. In truth however Zeus is Self. It is Self which has conceived itself to perceive itself as differentiated so not to be by itself and this for the purpose of Self-Companionship i.e. Self-Love.
