It is said in some of the science literature (not mine!) that the origin of the nuclear force - the key to the origin of atomic nuclei - is one of the major unsolved problems in particle and nuclear physics even after the establishment of the quantum chromodynamics (QCD). Now I do applaud that novel scientific research is being done to determine the origin of the nuclear force for it will lead us to a better understanding on the origin- and purpose of all matter around us. That being said. I for one say truth is simple. The origin of matter is matter not wanting to be alone. Or. To be more precise. The origin of self is self not wanting to be by itself. As to one's purpose? One's purpose is companionship more commonly known as love. It is as simple as that.
