The Origins of Cellular Life: Protocells and RNA Self-Replication Simplified.
The idea of protocells as precursors to modern cells is supported by various lines of evidence, including studies in abiogenesis, molecular biology, and paleobiology. According to this perspective, protocells were notably simpler in structure compared to their highly evolved descendants. However, despite their apparent simplicity, these protocells exhibited a fundamental complexity that endowed them with the capacity to initiate evolutionary pathways, ultimately culminating in the rich tapestry of modern biological diversity (Szostak et al). Although I concur with the above; I prefer the more holistic and simplified view in that the purpose of self is companionship otherwise known as love which is why self is different in life.
